General FAQ
Q. Do you do Black and White photography?
A. I will convert your digital color file into a beautiful black and white image through Photoshop. The new digital SLR cameras make wonderful images and in Photoshop your images can be toned, tinted and changed into a whole new look. Digital photography allow for far more creativity in one’s final images.
Q. Do you offer photojournalism coverage?
A. I have done weddings with a photojournalistic approach all the years that I have been a wedding photographer. I believe in capturing the moments as they unfold in the wedding day. You can specify what style you desire your coverage to be like and just how “candid” you want your photography to be.
Q. Do you do coloring on black and white or sepia images
A. Yes! With the use of Photoshop I can selectively color or tint part of an images as never before. It is great fun to create something special for a bride and groom. See some of the samples in the Gallery.
Q. What kind of camera is used?
A. I use Canon and Sony digital cameras and lenses. The Canon 5D, Canon 20D, and Sony F717 are current models that I use. The 5D is a full frame chip camera creating a 35 mg file for each exposure. I have several Canon lenses from the 17mm to the 300mm. These lenses will give the bride and groom great coverage and variety in their wedding photographs.
Q. How would you describe the style of your work?
A. My style is a mixture of the traditional and candid. I capture the moments as they unfold in the wedding day. I adapt my abilities to photograph the way the couple desires. I am very unobtrusive, working quickly and quietly. This allows the couple to be at ease and their interaction to be spontaneous and real.
Q. How can I see more samples of your work?
A. I am happy to meet with you at my studio, which is full of wonderful examples and during the meeting to discuss your wedding thoughts and plans.
Q. How can I reserve your services for my wedding day?
A. Please first call me at 661-722-5960 to be sure your day is available. You may use a credit card to reserve your photography or mail in a check.
Q. Do I have to pay everything up front?
A. No. Since I only charge for the time I spend at the event, rather than for picture packages, I charge 25% when the reservation is set (fully refundable upon cancellation). An additional 50% is due upon arrival to the event. And the final 25% when the event is completed. Pictures, albums, and all other merchandise are sold separately – purchased as you see fit.
Q. Do you photograph with film or digital?
A. I will capture your day digitally on the Canon 5D, 20D, and Sony F717 cameras and Canon lenses. The results from the Canon and Sony cameras yields files as good or even better than I was attaining with film.
